To clean fiber optic connectors there are several common tools on the market. Neutrik recommends to use dry cleaning sticks as FOCD-DC125 to remove pollution inside of the opticalCON chassis (e.g. NO2-4FDW-A).

The cleaning stick contains a small dry-tape which the tip rotates inside of the split sleeves.

Dry cleaning is sufficient, simple and fast. Heavily polluted fiber connectors may need to be cleaned with isopropyl alcohol IPA as explained in our opticalCON handling instruction.
